Keefer has also given back to the community through local organizations like the Richmond Food Security Society where he served as a Director, advocating for the protection and promotion of farmland in Richmond. He has also been active in organizing for more mental health and housing services in our community.

Keefer was born and raised in Richmond where he graduated from Grauer Elementary and Hugh Boyd Secondary. At Hugh Boyd, Keefer was involved in Rotary Club of Richmond Sunset initiatives in Richmond and abroad. In his youth, he helped organize band nights at various community centres and taught children about our environment while working and volunteering at the Richmond Nature Park. He feels incredibly privileged to be able to raise his son in the community where he grew up.

Keefer is running to be the Member of Parliament for Richmond East - Steveston because he believes that governments should serve all people - not just the wealthy and well connected. As we respond to threats from south of the border, our government needs to be focused on helping people and Keefer will fight to ensure that Canadians are supported at the kitchen table through grocery, gas, and housing costs.
